Guys,
With the bout of surprisingly nice and warm weather my PC room temps are now quite high about 26oC ambient.
My CPU is idling now at about 42oC, maxing about 68oC when gaming, and hitting just over 80oC during linX tests (20 passes all RAM) my setup is stable, and I was wondering if these max temps are OK for an i7 D0 (4GHz 1.275V HT on) In normal conditions it idles at 37oC and maxes with linX at about 72oC.
Rest of my hardware see sig.
I know this CPU can be a little hot potato with HT on, it's under a Megahalems with 2 Apaches push/pull setup.
I have a Stacker 830 case, my fan setup is 2 Noctuas at the front air in, top fan again a Noctua pulling air out, main fan at back and PSU air out. I then have three side fans (all Noctuas) 2 air in, one (nearest 5870 and 9800GT [physX]) is drawing air out.
I presume the fan setup is OK.
Thanks in advance!
Jonnygrunge.
