Raid Cards

What's the best raid card for a new 12 drive machine.

Will be using 3x Icy box hot swapable caddys (4 drives in 3 5.25" bays)

Looking at the Adaptec ASR - 52145 but wondered if there was anything better?

I'd suggest an Areca of some form or a 3ware
