this drive... It is your boy

It is very fast

do want :D

the drive comes with a load of sweet packaging.
nicely braided cable, little pcie card and the drive in a nice aluminium case

the drive has a load of QC stickers all over it.
exactly what you expect to see from such a high end part.

photos of the packaging and contents:

in fairness - OCZ should do a new sticker that ships specifically with this drive that says:
"My SSD is Faster than YOUR SSD" :D

Or I could say this: "My OCZ HDSL is Faster than YOUR OCZ VERTEX 2" :D

Nice review Rich and I got my MX4 thermal compound in my hand and I am going to try this later tonight.

Lovely piece of kit, will be saving up 4 this at @Xmas.

Question: I presume one would need the minimum of 1 free PCIe x16, x8 or x4 slot (I presume PCIe x1 is out of the question?)? If so, would the speeds be identical to the above (which is I presume in a PCIe x16 slot) results?

Is the technology called HDSL or HSDL?

The description says HSDL but the titles on the forums and shop page show HDSL...

they are bootable yes.

they show up as a raid device much like a revo drive/raid array

then you have to install the drivers during windows install to initialise the array :)
