Hi everyone,

I am having a bit of problems with my LAN/ethernet connection on my PC.

I have the following setup., and running Windows 7.
Spec1-1.jpg

When I plug in the ethernet, I get nothing, and when I go to:
"Network > Change Adapter Settings"

It shows just:

Wireless Network Connection (802.11n wireless LAN card)
and
Wireless Network Connection 2 (Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport A...)

So I went on MSI's site, and downloaded the LAN BIOS, but how do I run it? I don't want to damage anything.

If someone can help me out please.

Thanks in advance.

Have you gone into the BIOS to check the onboard LAN is enabled?

You can just use the motherboard disk and that will download and install the latest driver from the MSI site for you, assuming your wifi is working. If not then it will install the one from the disk.

can you go into device manager and check to see if its there but not installed first.

right click computer and go properties, then click device manager.
Your looking for a yellow triangle warning.

If there isn't one then go to network adapters and tell us what is in there.

It's possible your onboard Lan is faulty,it does happen however only way to know is to RMA your board for testing.

Oh you are kidding :( Not had it long, so still under warranty.
RMA?

Under network adapters in DM it has
*802.11n Wireless LAN Card
*Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

There is no yellow triangles at all? :S

:S

Thanks for replies :)

The onboard LAN adapter is not even listed at all. Take out the wifi card and see what happens?

I know yeah, my mate has same MB (we bought them at similar times, near enough same spec) and his works fine, and is visible :S

I will try removing the WiFi tonight and report.
Thanks for replies so far :)
