Noise has never been an issue for me but my system is pretty silent. I have this strange logic that if the computer is on the desk it will attract less dust (flawed I know)

Yep have to agree. Although my PC is pretty quiet, I still wouldn't want it on the desk.

I'm a geek at heart and like glancing at my PC when using it

Plus keeping it off the floor means less dust inside it from the carpet hopefully.

I dont consider it a mistake to have the intake at the bottom. Amazing cooling in this case.

Well I need a cooler that takes up less room, can only fit 2 HDD's in there - Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 2 - huge cooler - its just tickling the RAM

I've got one of these in my matx build, keeps my 2500k at reasonable temps considering the size of the case and the amount of stuff in there.

Sorry to be stupid. But urrr how did you remove the plastic after you removed the other HDD? That is the ATX Case right?

It's the Arc midi and it comes with a little right angled screw driver so you can remove the plastic mounts. 4 screws in each top one is screwed through the upper optical drive bay and hence the right angled screw driver..

I only found out as I wondered why the case came with a right angled screw driver so googled it.

I've removed the bottom one. Will do the top when I next have the computer off. Sorted out that kink.

Does anyoen know where to get a black desk? I've been to ikea and looked on the website but couldnt find one, only one close to what i want is this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6212476/Trail/searchtext>MARINO.htm but they stopped doing it in black like a month ago.
