basically the 7770 or whatever are going to be miles better so dump stock quick

Yes for the manufacturer, hence me getting the deal I wanted. :)

We shall be selling 7770's at £130-£140ish, so even then this card is superbly priced.

7750's shall be around £105-£115. :)

As such this is bargain!

Also remember this 6850's are 256-Bit memory interface, wheras the 77xx cards shall only be 128-bit, as such it is still unknown if the 7770 will be as quick as a 6850.

That is unknown.

The 7770, has 1280 shader, 1000core, but the downfall is its only 128-bit memory interface.

The 6850, has 960 shader, 790core, but has a 256-bit memory interface.

As such performance could be similar, but lets forget that, this 6850 is still £50 less than the 7770 shall be, which makes it a bargain for us and our customers. :)

Great bargain indeed!

Had a look around for the exact model posted on the product page (EAH6850 DC/2DIS/1GD5/V2) and am I right in saying this model takes one 6-pin power cable?

TPU have different figures for the HD7770:

http://www.techpowerup.com/160270/Radeon-HD-7700-Series-Specifications-Surface.html

If anything it exaggerates the point of how good a price this HD6850 is!

Gibbo quick question: Could you confirm the display outputs this card comes with? The text reads 2x mini DP but the picture appears to show a single HDMI and single normal DP.

Well going by those specs for the 7770 Amd havn't a cat in hells chance of selling those for £130-£140, 72Gb/s bandwith, the 5770 has 76Gb/s bandwidth and it sells for £75.

Great price on the 6850 Gibbo on a great brand AND a 3yr warranty, doubt the price will be beaten in the UK but the World, thats quite a claim.

Epic price is epic. But it will be a huge stepdown from my 4870X2 lol. Tho it would be a huge upgrade from my 4650 in my other machine, which is only used for watching movies and video encoding. So, meh, I'm happy with what I have. But still, epic price is EPIC!
