You have a higher income than around 80% of the population - equivalent to about 48.5 million individuals. Full-time student (26), work all summer and during holiday periods to pay for living/rent during term time.

You make over £30k from a summer job?

I'm quite lucky to have a well-paid job in a family business available to me when I'm not in university. It's where I was working before I decided to go back. That was last year's calculations where I worked approximately 21 weeks in total.

Based on council tax of say £1500 you need to put a net income of £60k in to get it to tell you that you are more than 95% of the population.

Isn't it per household? I house-share with a friend, and we both do pull in a considerable amount considering our market is one of the hardest out there.

If it's just mine, it won't be anywhere near as good. :)

I did it correctly before, so combining me and my girlfriend together we are better off than 99% of the UK population, I am about 97% and my girlfriend 98% individually. This is based on our US income + bonuses after US taxes, so the standing within the US may be much lower but the value within the UK is still interesting to see.

We both finished our PhDs about 1 year ago.

you have a higher income than around 37% of the population - equivalent to about 22.4 million individuals.

2 adults + 1 dependent child of 0-13

If i was doing the same job in the private sector that'd probably be over 50% which is a sad fact.
