If that's the attitude Team GB take then it's no wonder they're always rubbish at every Olympics.:o

Seems to be normal for schools to think the same as well these days. They don't even acknowledge gold, silver and bronze at my brother's school anymore. You're an automatic winner for taking part. Congratulations!

It's nothing to do with attitude but to do with the colours being on the Ariel box. Their ad campaign is obviously going to win the gold wash medal. :p

Don't see that it is as bad an advert as the OP is making out personally.

It's all about colours, and while winning a medal is the ultimate goal for any athlete, just being able to compete on the world stage, for your country, in your countries colours with everyone behind you is an achievement.

Obviously they then tie this in to Ariel Colour washing powder.... the American Corporation that is P&G. At least they didn't use 'Color'.

Does Britain still do any good in the shooting sports? I haven't really paid much attention to the Olympics for a while, but remember people saying we did good in the target shooting.

We tend to do well in the events which you are sitting down for - rowing, cycling, equestrian, sailing... :p
