Ok just phoned the dealer, hes asked if he could see the car and also offered me another car in exchange, he'll knock money off etc etc. Told him I will think about it.

Snap his hand off! Remember we had a situation like this and the dealer was a ****.

But if he's offered you another car that's very good of him, you're not going to get better service than that.

As other people have said, see if he's got an old decent focus in.
