Over the last 18 months I have been learning HTML, CSS and a little PHP. I have done a few sites using Dreamweaver CS5 / CS6 and have been buying themes through theme forest to use and edit to how I want.

I keep hearing that Wordpress may be a better way of making websites with themes and also there are probably three times as many Wordpress themes then HTML. Anyway for the last week I have been playing around in Wordpress with a theme and hate it. My question is what methods are people using to build sites? If Wordpress is the way forward maybe I will stick with it a little longer.

WordPress. It's a great CMS. Easy to customise, easy to use, quicker to developer on adn setup once you got into the swing of things. Very scalable, used on everything from 3 page sites to Alexa top 250 sites.
