Mine charges in just under 2 hours. Had a proper test run of the battery today, used it for almost 2 hours as satnav (Google navigation), and took loads of pictures and made loads of videos. Gps, wifi and mobile data are always on. Just got home and battery just reached 50 percent.

Anyone used that link I posted to add more apps to multi view???

Ok guys, for those wanting to add more of their apps to the tab so they work on the multi-screen, here is the easiest way to do it:

Can anyone see what I've done wrong?
Better to know how to make your own and figure out an issues as you go. This is a rough guide, not comprehensive but should give a good idea.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Get your list together from the market e.g.

<item>com.quoord.tapatalkpro.activity</item>

[/URL]com.quoord.tapatalkpro.activity&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5xdW9vcmQudGFwYXRhbGtwcm8uYWN0aXZpdHkiXQ

Install Java runtime, Apktool 1.5, Notepad++

Grab framework-res.apk and copy to a new folder on your PC c:\apktools with apktool.jar (rename) & aapt.exe

Then install the framework (open a cmd window in apktool folder)

Code:
java -jar apktool.jar if framework-res.apk

Now decompile framework-res with apktool

Code:
java -jar apktool.jar d framework-res.apk

See a folder under c:\apktools\framework-res
Make changes to res/values/arrays.xml with Notepad++ “config_multiWindowSupportAppList”

Now compile framework-res.apk back in c:\apktools folder

Code:
java -jar apktool.jar b framework-res.apk

Go to c:\apktools\framework-res\dist and you will now see your new framework-res.apk

Now open the original and new framework-res.apk with winrar or 7zip and copy the new resources.arsc over the one in the original apk. Put the original (modded) apk file back (makes sure you have a working Nandroid first) If you have one of the CWM flash-able zips just swap your framework-res.apk and use CWM.

Ordered my note 2 yesterday and should recieve it on friday. Very excited as at the moment i have an ancient sony erikkson so its a huge upgrade and from what iv read and seen this looks like the best phone on the market if you dont mind the size which i dont.

What would be a good case to get for this? Im not looking for a full case just a protective one that coveres the back and sides. Theres so many out there and considering how much this phone costs it would be wise to get a really good protective case.

Any ideas?

The Otterbox Commuter Series for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 seems like a great one but its not released yet.

Any ideas for now?

How about this one.... FlexiShield Skin For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - black...

Get the otterbox definitely. I've pre-ordered my otterbox commuter. Defender is too big and doesn't offer much more protection from drops and shocks.

Don't know how long it will take but I'm thinking maybe 2 weeks or even a month.

Get this one whilst you wait

I have the black one, it's fine to protect it for now, but I'm just waiting for my otterbox one to arrive :)

Any good deals on this at the moment either SIM free or PAYG? Think I prefer the LTE version for future proofing.

I don't want to get involved in another contract.

Probably a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know if I order this phone with Orange but via a third party site (affordable mobiles), do I get the LTE version?

Do you feel like you need a case with a front cover for when your carrying it around in your pocket ect aswell?

Loving this phone more and more. NFC is awesome and I can actually see me using it. Poweramp and SwiftKey are 100% must haves.

Surprised by the quality of the bundled IEMs. Pretty decent.

Does anyone know how to enable the CRT lock effect like you get on the Galaxy Nexus?

It's such a nice effect for an OLED display, such a shame that it's not enabled by default on more handsets.

Anyone else finding the Google Nav voice too quiet even on max volume?
You can edit the system/etc/default_gain.conf file to increase volumes. You'll need to be rooted for access. The file linked below is two I've edited, nominal and a max versions. Any higher than the max values and things start to distort. Rename the file, save a copy of the original and copy over, then reboot.

Well I have a screen protector. It's a pretty strong one and 2 come in one pack. Only £10 and is a great deal for what it is. Will last ages. After applying just clean the screen with a slightly damp cloth and it's as smooth as butter.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/SPIGEN-Stei...5Z6S/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352929124&sr=8-2

Or use ebay

Be sure to apply it right in the center, I just like having a screen protector for that extra sense of security :)

Also just to add, it's fairly easy to apply, just make sure it's actually aligned since it's slightly smaller than the dimensions of the phone. Great design though and all the bubbles are removed easily with no hassle.
