Which RAM

I previously purchased 8 gigs of Crucial Ballistix ram DDR3 1600. They are yet to be installed but am thinking of upgrading to 16gig.

Should I:

1) Sell the ballistix and get 16 gig of something else (pls recommend)
2) Buy an additional 8 gig (2x4) of Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1600

Are these Ballistix any good?

I really see no point in upgrading 8 gig to 16 gig, what you have is perfectly fine.

What do you use your system for? 8gb is ample for most people.

its primarily for surfng, email, online forex trading and movie watching.

Yes 8 GB is enough, but so is a i3 or a car that will do 70 mph. bottom line is if you want it then why not.
tell us more about your system so we can suggest the best course of action.

system specs and whether you are overclocking or not.
