On my accessories for the device.

Screen Protectors, just got ones from ebay for a couple of pounds, the key bit is make sure they have a nick out of the top left and right corners for the camera and the proximity sensor

Case I went for http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/flexishield-skin-for-google-lg-nexus-4-smoke-p37186.htm still undecided whether I want that Diztronic case that Mike posted, basically I want a very skinny case but one that protects the screen when face down. The flexishield I do does that and is quite grippy - again which is good.

Car Holder I went for the OSO Space Mount 2 (note there is a cheaper version 1 and a 2) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300784448171. This is quite a tall holder, the grip is very good, sticks to my dash which is a textured dash. Just had to pull it away from the front of the dash otherwise it really is in your face. What I like about it is the mechanism to release the phone is very easy and doesn't involve pushing the phone into the claws - just feels safer. I've done a couple of 100 miles with it and it's very stable. Note the manufacturer has various designs for holders http://osomount.com/

The dbrand skin arrived today (Black Titanium) in a very nice black envelope.

It was fairly easy to install but I made a school boy error and installed it on top of the plastic protector (can't get rid of my OCD!!!) :o

It looks fairly decent though

That looks interesting, let me know how it is - my only concern would be if it increases the form size unduly

this sort of case always makes the phone larger, but it also offers the best type of protection.

it really depends on the type of protection you are after, with this phone being made of glass more protection is better imo.

At that price you could buy the case just so you have it when needed, is it an otterbocks?

Good find.

no it's not an "otterbox", it is an unbranded case which is similar, otterbox do not make a case for the nexus 4 as of yet.

yeah i am surprised it is sooooooooo cheap, i mean the ballistic case is £30 and is quite similar to this case.

Is there any where i could buy a dock which is similair to the iPhone dock? Small and just does the job.

ebay

What is on the back of your N4 to give it that patterned look? And does it protect the back as well as just being cosmetically nice to look at?

it's a carbon "skin", much like a wrap on a car, it offers very minimal protection, essentially it only offers protection against scratches, if you drop your phone it is still going to crack.

dbrand sells them, imo they are pointless because if your using a case you cannot see them and if you do not use a case, then your phone isn't well protected.

they do look great though, but you can get cases with all sorts of images, logos and designs on them anyway which look good as well from ebay if that is what you are looking for.

I use a Poetic bumper, so am tempted to get this to protect against scratches on the exposed back, and for cosmetic reasons it looks nice!

Anyone waiting for the Brodit mount, I got this yesterday from a reseller:-

Good afternoon. I'm afraid we, nor Brodit in the UK have Active holder for the Nexus 4 in stock. This is due to part shortage at Brodit for all active holders with car charger, including Google Nexus 4 active holders and is effecting all resellers internationally. We are been informed that Brodit factory has started to receive supplies as from middle part of last week and these are back in production. All being well, these will start to arrive back in the UK from early part of next week. Any orders that arrive will go onto backorder, please kindly allow 5-7 days for us to dispatch any orders that arrive.

I am very impressed with my oso space mount 2. It is quite tool but i like the release mechanism and it sucks to my textured dash. Looking to get a second oso one for the wife. Does anyone have experience of the zero version, which looks lower, just not sure re how the zero sticks to the phone

Here's the dbrand Black Titanium on my N4, doesn't look as good as the carbon IMHO.

i have 2 of these ones they are the most versatile, imo all the other ones don't grip the phone as well as this one does

The one I have is this one

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300784448171

The dashgrip was a possible but I had a cheaper case with the same style of grip and I didn't like the way you either prise the claws apart or push the phone in to make a gap. I like the Space Mount's opening mechanism. It's only negative and positive i its height, it is quite tall - which sets it at a more convenient height but can be distracting.

The one that tempts me is this one

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oso-Zero-...7899?pt=UK_Holders_Mounts&hash=item43b75bfcfb

But really could do with comments on it from someone that has tried it - ie does it leave a residue on the phone, how hard does it stick etc

this arrived yesterday, using it today, it smells a lot, but is a fantastic case, so much so i just ordered black/pink for the wife.

i'm hoping the smell just fades with time, its that new rubber smell.

Got a black titanium and sliver for the misses, both really do look amazing and it feels really nice, dbrand are really top quielyu, I had one of those carbon skins before on my 4s and it costed £25 and I find this both feels better and looks better. Texture is amazing, installing it is **** easy it just stick on to the thing without any effort.

Here are some poorly taken photos.

Also does anyone know of a decent bumper I can get, I was looking at the coloured poetic ones but I really dislike how its grey + colour, which it was just 1 colour.
