help finding desk

were looking to be moving soon and my current desk most probably wont fit nicely in the new location

current desk Old pcs

so looking for a new desk, needs to fit 29" 21:9 monitor + 2x23"

I'm guessing 2 meters long, would like U shape, and deep
wood finish but open in different types of finishes

any ideas where to look?

I got a Ikea Galant glass desk with chrome legs and it is solid, Some of their stuff is crap though

No no no, they're amazing, that's why everyone has them, they're amazing value for money. I guess if you want to go and chuck a couple of hundred at some solid oak desk you can. But I have had my PC and a monitor and recently another monitor on mine for 2 years now and it just takes it, sometimes it even has to take my weight when I can't quite reach the shelf above it >.>

I'd go to ikea aswell as there range in different sizes is fantasic.

As for the build quality i think it's very good considering the cost.

cheers, but they don't seem to do much for the size/shape

some don't even have depth measurements :S, depth is the most important thing for me. going to have to be 70 +

Also added the PC holder for the underside too which works very well!

Have a look on gumtree, I bought a nice desk from there for £30. Probably worth about 160 new. If you want a large desk just get a ex office desk or if you want a new one then buy office desk.

Would be better to have dimensions of the space. monitors could always go on walls or mounts.

Nice set up

You should get an ikea desk. I've got one and it's solid. Just don't go for the cheapest option and you should be fine.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but Ikea do pretty good desks.
