try any of those photos. pictures in other reviews on the same site don't crash it, and chrome loads them fine.

Tried several of them including no. 28, no crashes here (FF 21.0).

Fresh install seems to have fixed it, no idea what cause this though.. really strange. Previously tried clearing cookies/reseting firefox to defaults but that didn't help.

Unless you're running a vanilla install of FF without any add-ons/extensions/plugins, try restarting in safe mode (Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled), and if it's still crashing, perhaps try disabling hardware acceleration (in Options > Advanced > General > Browsing).

It seems that disabling hardware acceleration fixes it (tried before your post )

Could you check if your hardware accel is enabled or disabled?

Going to update my gpu drivers to see if that will solve it.

Yup, I've got HW acceleration enabled. I'm running nVidia's 314.22 drivers if that's any use to you...

Have an AMD card so no use ! Updated from catalyst 13.4 whql to 13.5 beta but no difference.

It only happens on that specific camera review and on firefox which is really weird. Tried about 10 other random reviews and the pictures all load fine with hardware acceleration enabled.

I had a quick look at some of the other reviews - I didn't see image 28, the purply-blue flowers (not a keen gardener) anywhere else, so maybe it's just one or two specific images causing the problem.

Unless it keeps happening elsewhere, if I were you I'd just put it down to one of life's unsolved mysteries, heave a philosophical sigh and move on.

Happens on every picture I tried on that review not just the flowers. It starts loading for about 2 seconds then crash.

Was planning on getting that camera as well.. maybe its a sign

Firefox 14.0.1 with HW Acceleration on running 13.1 drivers and no crashes here

There are so many security holes in 14.0.1 (no to mention js performance) that you literally would be better using anything remotely up to date....

As for the op try the beta http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/22.0b2/win32/en-GB/Firefox Setup 22.0b2.exe and if it still exists then Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting > Reset Firefox. You may as well use the beta these days. They're stable and updated weekly. Although there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with that page. Page glitch or driver glitch?

What do you mean? I've tried reinstalling firefox, reseting it to defaults.. disabling all addons etc.

So you deleted the profile folder in appdata/roaming, appdata/local? It's a folder which stores all your settings. Not sure if Firefox removes it when you uninstall.

In the Run dialog box, type in:
firefox.exe -p

Will give you the profile manager so you can create a new one and try that.
