Morning everyone,

First post on the forums here :) and i'm looking for a build around the £800 pound mark please.
I have a keyboard/mouse/OS and Corsair HX850 power supply already but need the rest including a monitor.

I haven't been keeping up with the latest spec's for a while, so not sure where to start really in terms of whats worth while. Therefore any help is very much appreciated.

Idlemans great spec missed the monitor so here is one with. I've assumed its a gaming rig.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7950 OC BE 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (R7950-3GD5/OC BE G) £221.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £185.99
1 x BenQ GW2260HM 22" Widescreen LED Professional Monitor - Black £113.99
1 x MSI Z77A-G43 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £74.95
1 x Toshiba (7K1000.D) 1TB SATA 6GB/s 32MB Cache - OEM (DT01ACA100) HDD £49.99
1 x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU) £43.99
1 x NZXT Source 210 Elite Midi Tower Case - Black £39.95
1 x OcUK 20x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99
Total : £762.84 (includes shipping : £12.50).

Comes with the 8 free games mentioned above. A nice VA screen, though no SSD as ive favored FPS above load times in this case. Going IVY can save you £30+ pounds but you can always go with Haswell within budget.

Many thanks for the very quick replies and yes its to be a gaming rig.

I prefer the idea of FPS over load times at this time, though no doubt i'll look to get SSD at some point. I appreciate that Haswell are the new chips but will i be losing much by going with the IVY
