Hi guys
I'm decorating my living room and I'm not sure where to put the TV I'm thinking about mounting it above the fire place, or maybe just put it on a corner unit in one corner of the room. TV is 50 inch Plasma

Living room is a tad on the small side at 4.00 meters x 3.00 meters

Also I am getting a corner sofa, here is a pic of the room (from rightmove)
I also plan on just changing the fire but leave the fire place in (for now)

Do you actually use the fireplace, or is it just for show?

I would look at taking it out, and you would create a huge amount of space, and you could put the TV on the wall at a nice view-able height.

Above the fireplace is too high.

I had a similar dilemma when we moved into our house. I tried several options; above the fireplace, next to the fireplace and opposite. In the end I went with opposite because we all would have had to wear neck braces otherwise.

If the TV fits the gap on the wall left of the fireplace I'd be tempted to wall mount it on a swing out bracket. Hide all your cables, lose the TV stand and it can be swung back when not in use making the room seem a little larger and much cleaner.
