If you add a non-steam game to steam it just creates a shortcut in your library, it doesn't add it to your account in any other way. But you can make as many game shortcuts in your library as you want.

What was the point of the question in post 120?

If Far Cry 3 was bought outwith Steam, I got the impression that it could be linked to then downloaded from Steam in future?

You can buy FarCry 3 through Steam which then shows up in your Steam library but still runs through Uplay or you can just have it on Uplay which won't show up in your Steam library.

For future re-installs it really doesn't matter as Steam, Uplay and Origin all allow you to install games you bought keys for again whenever you want.

Seems its been changed recently or/just for those deals as GMG normally let you use the vouchers on almost any game
