I mean the colours etc.

Haswell likes faster RAM, with AMD its less important and that 970 motherboard only works upto 2000Mhz so anything over this would have been downclocked to 2000MHz.

Oh I'm not bothered about the colour, especially if it's gonna increase the price. Just whatever is cheapest, best and has a windowed case

I think most people would agree when you have a window, colour matching the internals would be nice. To be fair cutting in a window yourself is very easy and cheap to do, there will be tuts on youtube to show you how.

Not sure who is evaluating these specs with you but the Bequiet PSU is good, nothing wrong with it besides being out of stock. I have owned the L8 630W for 3 years, I'm very happy with it and it's dead quiet.

There is always a little wiggle room in spec'ing. I've left the OS out as there is a 3 month trial (HERE) to try before you buy. All the best with the build, we look forward to seeing what you settle on in the end :)

Come back tomorrow after midday and hopefully the deals as mentioned will have changed and I will see if there are any changes to be made.

The PSU is a solid one from a reputable manufacture and has all the certifications for safety etc.

Will do. I've been told that I should downgrade the RAM as memory with speeds over 1866 have very small returns for gaming purposes, and if that kit requires more than 1.5V, it'll shorten the life of an Intel CPU.*

1.65V RAM is fine, all performance RAM is rated at that sort of voltage and Haswell will see a benefit from the increased speed.

the V300 uses cheaper NAND and performance suffers.
