My friend is wanting to finally upgrade his system as it is struggling and several years old...

So...

■ Used for gaming (Currently he is playing CoD Ghosts but will want to play this as high res/fps as possible)
■ Budget of < £800.
■ Doesn't need Monitor/Peripherals at the moment. Just the box!
■ No preference on Nvidia/AMD for graphics, CPU prefer to keep to Intel at the moment though.
■ Does need a copy of Windows preferably.

Thank in advance for your help and if I have missed anything I shall will update accordingly.

If you're quick you can save on the GPU. Also, if you're going Micro-ATX then consider the Coolermaster case. Awesome little thing, have built 3 machines inside this recently and for the price the quality is outstanding. Everything else in the build above is pretty much spot on to be honest.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £199.99
1 x Cooler Master N200 NSE-200-KKN1 Midi-Tower - Black £36.95
Total : £249.84 (includes shipping : £10.75).

Overbudget but there is a 3 month trial of windows 8.1 available to download to save some spondoolies for now.

PSU is a rebadged Superflower, truly is a bargain at under £50 and being gold rated for efficiency. The i5K CPU is OEM so no heatsink (not that it's needed here) and the warranty is shorter than the retail version (CPU failure is very rare tbh).

All the best with it fella, we look forward to seeing what you guys settle on in the end :)
