List is from 1985. Original doc here. Amusingly it also includes Yazoo (the pop wing of New Romantic movement - Alison Moyet + Vince Clark of Depeche Mode) banned for punk & violence.
Btw, the embargo didn't last long as in November 1988 David Gilmour and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd (on the list) were invited by Kreml to visit Baikonur Cosmodrome and witness Russian/French rocket launch and shortly later Russian national label "Melodia" bought license to release Pink Floyd's "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" across entire eastern bloc...

And in 1989 bands like Ozzie Osbourne, Cinderella, Skid Row and the Scorpions were invited to play in the middle of Moscow. I have the video.
There's a great scene where the Scorpions are playing Winds Of Change and all the soldiers are holding their lighters up in the air.
1 year later the Berlin Wall came down.
