Moved the VM set top box, broke something

As the title really.

We moved it from the spare bedroom to the main and cut the cable shorter. Put the connector back on.

Now it is intermittently cutting out, with the blue light flashing. Is it something we can fix ourselves? It worked perfectly before the move and I don't fancy the £99 call out to fix something we broke.

Also, what is a TRIS-1002L? It is between the upstairs (2nd) set top box and the cable.

It's more than likely a attenuator. Just make sure the f connector is fitted properly and no braiding is touching the stinger
