Wet weather gear recommendations!

I high-sided wearing a rucksack and landed half on it and other half my shoulder, back fine, but broke my collarbone, I think being hit by a top box more dangerous as you come off than a rucksack, there are no guarantees even with safety gear on as it depends what you hit or don't hit

Have a Hein Gericke onesie style waterproof over-suit here. Elasticated ankle goes over my boots no problem. Quick to chuck on at the side of the road if you get caught out.

It did let water in on a Scotland tour a couple of years ago, but that was at 70 *cough* mph down the M6 in a head-on hurricane on a naked bike :p Rain managed to find its way to my gooch somehow :o Always the gooch... :D

I don't generally go riding if I know it's going to rain though. So for all weather, all year commuting you probably want some good textile kit :)
