Just had a nice delivery at work :)

16-35mm F4 L IS.

Been a while since I got some new glass! Just sneaked in a few test shots in the office, looks amazingly sharp all over! This is my first dive in to ultrawide angle territory, am really looking forward to it. The 24-105L will be staying at home for the foreseeable future.

Am thinking about getting the 16-35 F4 IS as well, but I'd probably sell the 24-105 to afford it, so would be really interested in how much you end up using yours now you have the 16-35.

I got it from here:

http://www.bessel.co.uk/acatalog/Wall-Ceiling-Kit-4-Roll--plastic-chains--5060339961293.html#SID=47

(I'm assuming Bessel is not a competitor in any way)

Then just bolt to the wall. Gives more floor space and so much easier if you change backdrops

how does it connect to the backdrop itself? is it another large tube that gos through my vinyl backdrop and then just attached to that wall ceiling hook?

i might get this

If your vinyl backdrop is already on a metal tube then you dont need anything else.

If it's on a cardboard or plastic tube then you'll need to buy a metal tube (bessel also sells these) and transfer your vinyl to that.

yes it is in a metal tube.

does that mean there is a small tube that holds the vinyl tube in place?

Also, does this wall mount stop the backdrop from rolling on the floor on its own without clamps?

It clamps on to each end of the metal tube.. thats why it has to be a metal tube otherwise they bend.

And yes it stops it un-rolling on it's own.
