Have you ever slept on a memory foam one before?
They're not the most pleasant of things when it starts to warm up as they just trap heat. Not sure if they get any better if you go for one of the more expensive ones.

never slept on one nope, just lay on one for a few minites to try it

the Reylon one says it has 'coolmax', but that could just be a thing to stop putting people off if they're renowned for heating up

far too much choice with mattresses!!

the best thing to do is go and lie down in a store on all the beds :D This is the place you will spend a lot of your time so don't make the wrong decision.

are there any disadvantages to a 2 sided mattress - as in different firmess either side...like this one.....

I'm pretty sure memory foam is the way to go for my buget so it's either the one above or this one http://www.worldstores.co.uk//p/Relyon_Memory_Foam_300_Mattress_with_Coolmax.htm

slightly put off by the fact the 2nd one comes rolled up!

Don't worry about it coming rolled up. Every memory foam one I've bought does. Plus its much easier to move with all the air sucked out of it.

I've had a cheap memory foam mattress off the bay for about 5 years and don't really have an issue with the temp either.

I have had a memory foam topped sprung mattress for 3 years and memory foam toppers for at least two years longer than that. I have never noticed an issue with heat and I am generally a warm person.

Mine isn't double sided so I just swap head to foot every now and again. Still seems as good as when I bought it.
