Is there a free android sat nav that does safety cameras? Or what about the stand alone safety camera apps, do any of them integrate with for instance, google maps?

I use google maps with CamSam plus. CamSam is not free but its a one off payment of like £2.
Works really well - can have maps full screen and then a little overlay of CamSam

Awesome - I was guessing as I have had it for ages.
I don't know if you are used to it but it does only warn you about cameras on your side of the road. I tend to slow down for any camera but thought it was out of date to begin with, but then warned me about the same camera on the way home from work.
Dont think I have found it missing one yet and if online it updates all the time

Ah didn't see that thread. Looks like waze is popular and does speed cameras. Does it tell you the designated road speed that the camera is set to?

Directional Alerts are an impressive feature that I cannot recall being implemented in any other apps.

Waze, its not in your face camera alert or anything but gives you plenty warning.
Its also pretty good at mobile ones / police presence thanks to its crowd sourced data.
