1.6mppd is like a gtx970 24/7. mine is going to go down loads, because i have just had a few core 15's

Thanks for the news. My output's similar - 970 24/7 plus a bit from the i5. Set on core 18 wu's for the gpu (I think).

Been crunching for team 10, on and off, for years!

Have been active with my current setup (GTX980 on an old i7) for a few months now, but have not crunched for a couple of weeks as was on holiday. When I got back last week I decided to crunch 24/7 to make a push to get back into the top 20, which I managed to do, plus picked up a 25m tiffy on the way!

My production will drop back down this week as I won't be 24/7.

I would love to try and run longer but a) my office gets too hot and b) I'm worry about power usage.

a 750ti or 960 or somthing folding even 24/7 would cost about 20/30 pence a day, although i know its nothing to some people not everybody is able to afford these extra costs.

I was thinking of getting a 750TI but I Dont think that adobe light room / Photoshop cc support it for hardware acceleration. :-/

I made some progress today with buying parts, tomorrow I will be swapping my old z77 & i3 for a z97 / 4690k. today I stripped and cleaned most of my corsair 300r and added a new 850 evga modular psu to help keep things nice and tidy. oh ye I also have my self a gpu

it is so big I had to remove the harddrive cage to allow it to fit

Thinking of joining in with Folding@home. Had a flirtation with SETI@home a few years back. I'm now at the point where I have a motley selection of hardware at home doing nothing. I have an i3 3.2GHz machine, i5 laptop, AMD A series media PC and an old Intel Atom netbook. All of them can be running 24x7. May as well put them to use, eh?

shouldn't cost to much to run, I had an i3 running but was using the pc at the same time so daily output wasn't loads but it was still something

but gpus are were its all at now, if you have any of them then look at weather you want to run them, gpus are by far a better points / £

getting a gpu seemed a waste of time, this is not user error either .
