I'd be interested to see if 2Gb helps with Skype. I find Skype to be awful at notifying me I have a message sometimes. I don't know if it's Skype that's the issue, or limited amount of RAM on my phone.

Haven't bought a new phone since 2010 (still rocking an original HTC Desire) - thinking of picking up a 6S. What's the deal with screen protectors these days? Are they still recommended for standard pocket use?

I stopped using screen protectors since the 4. How many yrs ago was that ??

Whilst i do not throw my phone in my handbag :p it comes with me everywhere i go... I've always used bumpers til the 5 came along, then went with the official Apple leather case after that (better grip thus less dropping)

Anyway point i'm trying to make is screen protectors are not necessary. A little common sense and never leave your phone face down, and you'll be fine.. We all have four pockets, just make sure you never put your phone in a pocket that houses your keys, and even then you may even get away with it..

The new 6S, has supposedly even stronger / scratch resistant glass.

1gb is not enough if you need to use a few apps at once. I use my phone for work as well and often switching between apps (e.g. mail, office apps, safari etc) more often than not Safari loses its place etc. The price differential of 3gb vs, 2gb must be small, but the cynic in me thinks that they won't bump it up to preserve the potential to boast about 3gb being a new feature in a future iPhone. However like you say 2gb will probably be enough I hope.

Like I said before there is nothing really groundbreaking about this iteration, and if I wasn't bought into the eco system I think I would be going back to Android for a bit, but will end up with a 6s+ anyway I am sure

Yeah 1GB is not enough, its my main issue with the 6. And I'm 100% sure its about money, if you think about the scale that iPhones sell at its easy for them to ship 150m of these next models, if its £5 more pre a device thats 750m which is a lot of money. Unless they really really need it I don't think they will up the memory.

Do I stick with my Space Grey order or get the Gold one I reserved in store...

The only reason I'd be getting Gold is for a change, and the novelty would soon wear off. I do think the black front is much smarter, generally.

I could get both and return one, but that's a faff... :(

i'd go with the gold mate. if you had space grey before at least it looks like you've had a new phone! I think space grey looks better from the front when the screen is off but the white bezel looks better when the screen is on

What do people know / think about the leather apple 6s case?

I've had one on my 6 Plus since I got it and they're excellent. Quite slim, grippy and offers a decent level of protection, as well as looking good.

Will be getting the Saddle Brown one for my 6s Plus.

I might look at the official Apple case, I have used Spidgen cases, but my 5 & 5s I used a cheap leather case which left parts of the surround exposed and I ended up scratching the phone.

Despite how much I like the look and sound of the 6s I'm going to be sticking with my 6 plus for now. Can't really justify the cost. Will wait for 7 :p

Regarding cases, I bought an official apple leather case for my 6plus and imo it's great. Fits perfectly looks nice and feels premium made. Mine doesn't have any scratches or scuffs on it and has kept very well. That said I bought my case from Amazon because it was a hell of a lot cheaper than from apple directly
