Rivals of Aether is a fast paced platform fighting game which was heavily inspired by Smash Bros.

I've played it for a few hours now and being a huge fan of the Smash games I think its fantastic. It's currently in early access and has 6 playable characters which will grow to 8 for launch. The current game modes in the game are 1v1 online, up to 4 player local and practice mode but they will be adding a story mode eventually.

It currently only costs £10.99 on Steam which I think is a bargain.

Bought RoA this morning and so far havent managed a game... Every time I go to move the cursor up in the select character page I get

Google doesn't seem to know much about it either at the minute :/

Turns out to be a DirectX issue, resolved with an update...

Wish I hadn't bothered though, the game is a load of **** IMO

Maps are small, too easy and predictable... Not as fun as old platforms used to be and too expensive. Steam has issued me a refund
