Sound Issue

I'm certain the volume of the sound on my PC is progressively getting lower, I have to turn it up a lot more to achieve the same listening volumes.

Any ideas?

Firstly, check the obvious things like loose wires.

If they're okay, make sure your system settings are okay.

Failing that, try reinstalling your audio drivers.

So I've reinstalled the drivers and still no change.

However I have noticed that it is not all applications where it seems to be quite. I noticed this when I recently downloaded Spotify; when I played the first song I was really shocked as the PC was back to its normal wonderfully loud volume. I then noticed that it was only really in Chrome were the volume was lacking.

Any ideas?

Which operating system do you use? A feature called application volume levelling may be active. Also check your volume levels as different applications can have different levels set within the os.
