Just find a project that suits you, whether it be medical, mathematical, or the mysterious cosmos !
Keep an eye out for any future challenges and pitch in :D

Are you running F@H and/or BONIC ?

I did F@H a couple of years ago. I've just installed BOINC for the first time and will aim to give that a go.

Daft question: why isn't F@H part of BOINC?

EDIT:

I've joined the team and I'm giving Einstein a go.

Is there a way in BOINC to reduce or increase computing power allocated to the task like there is in F@H?

EDIT2:

Got F@H installed. Client seems a bit more polished now!

Is there a way in BOINC to reduce or increase computing power allocated to the task like there is in F@H? Login to your account and follow the 'Computing preferences' link, there you will find various parameters you can control.

Bonus of folding: If the room gets a little cold at the moment, I just get my PC to crunch a bit harder and it soon warms up. :p

Do you know I was expecting the same thing. A couple of years ago I ran 2 pc's, each with 2 GTX295's and the heat was incredible.
If I touched the gpu's not only would I get burnt it also marked the skin.
This time around I find the opposite, everything uses less power, runs a lot cooler - its kind of strange.
...........or maybe I'm just not trying hard enough :D
