Hi i am a tenant and i had an assured shorthold tenancy which ended last month. A few weeks ago it ended i found a new house with the same agency and paid deposit for a new house, after this i gave my notice to leave as i would be moving into another property however a few days later the letting agents called me and gave my deposit back as the house was no longer for let, due to this my landlord wants me out and says that he will take legal action as i gave a notice and still havent left. After i was given the deposit back i paid another months rent and they accepted this, does this mean that my notice is void and does the landlord have any right to remove me without giving me a section 21 notice?
