Here is my set up as of 5min ago after i finished putting the cables in.

20160412_172331.jpg

It's looking a bit drab so I've ordered a large mirror and a la large thick rubber pad to protect the floor. I will paint the walls when I have some time off . Garage is about 7m X 5m so I can still fit my car in and a static bike.

P's thanks for the heads up about the dead lift deadner looks decent and easily removed so i have some floor space to make things on.

That looks awesome. Will have to post a pic of my setup, hopefully tomorrow if I get a second as I've only just finished mine.

What I would do though is get some plywood and have them resting against the walls if you will be resting weight plates against them. I've seen too many gym walls getting wrecked after some time with weight plates against them.

I originally bought that tree and its terrible quality, soon as its loaded the thing looks like its going to fold in on itself !

Picked this one up after and its much much better -

How strange, I'm sure that's the one I have. It's used pretty much every other day and it's got around 200kg worth of plates on it without any issues. That one looks nice though with the bar holder as well.

I probably got a dodgy one :)

New addition, bag and stand, need to get some smaller chains for it -

I really need to have a clear out, its slowly getting taken over by kids toys !!!

Ok guys as promised a couple of pics of my setup. The Barbarian Line Rack and accessories all purchased from Gym Revolution http://http://www.thegymrevolution.co.uk Matt in particular there is really helpful and quick to get back. His Youtube channel search 'Gym Professor' is pretty useful.

The racks a bit pricey, but I think good value for money considering the quality of it, and it's features. Just waiting on a pair of front safeties for the rack, so no pics for that currently.

Okay the pics, hopefully they come out, as I'm pretty useless at stuff like this. Otherwise the links should work:

Looks good.

I bought my Barbarian Line rack from there too. As per your feedback, Matt was very helpful including high quality after-sales-service. I love the rack, very robust and feel it is worth the money. I did a fair amount of research prior to buying and couldn't find a similar rack with the same amount of features / specification for the same cost.

Anyone know if a concept 2 model D is a worthwhile investment? Anyone own one?

I'm looking at buying one with the intention of using it regularly. However I haven't used q rowing machine before so not sure if that matters?

Cheers :)

Can anyone reccomend a good bench? I currently have a bench that has the barbell stands attached. It's really not sturdy enough and the padded bench bit itself isnt quite wide enough. Id like one that comes with the stands for the bar as I have none separate.

I've had a scan through some forums but a lot are America based.

Cheers

It depends, what sort of budget have you got. The answer below may not be what you're looking for but perhaps something to consider.

Personally I would buy a separate bench and rack so that you can do various exercises and upgrade as you wish. If space is an issue, perhaps a decent utility bench with some stands like these so that you can easily store away http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf310-heavy-duty-2-squat-stands.php You can then use it for more than just bench pressing.

I have this bench which is really sturdy and I'm pretty happy with it http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk...ne-decline-utility-bench-full-commercial.html although on reflection for the price I think there are better benches out there.

Thanks for the reply :). When you say other benches for the price, can you reccomend any? The site you linked the stands from has this on there, similar design to yours http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf328-deluxe-flat-incline-decline-utility-bench.php

Any ideas if bodymax are good? looks sturdy.
