Headlight bulb question

Hi just noticed that my headlight on my Yamaha xj6 has gone off, but if I use high beam it's fine, might be a stupid question but does the bulb have two filaments. It's a standard 12V 60/55W bulb.

Some do yes. If you take it out and look at it, you should be able to see if that's the case or not

Yeah,you have a high beam and a low beam filament,seems like the low beam one has blown

Thanks for the advice looks like I need to replace it then but limited and difficult access,so as Frank Drebin said: Like a blind man at an orgy, I was going to have to feel things out.

Get some nice Osram 5.5k bulbs, they're epic!
