Calm down rob no need to get so angry as to send a tweet :D. Please say you had a good hashtag?

Forget Boris.

I want to hear what Donald Trump will say. I'm sure something ridiculous will come out of his mouth. Probably end up supporting the coup.

He has. There was a tweet about "Taking their country back and so will we when I become president".

The soldiers that attempted this. They are pretty much guaranteed to get jailed for life.

What will some of the more desperate ones do now?

So a curfew was announced. I was wondering why they hadn't done that.

So simply being outside was a direct challenge to the coup in itself.

Yesterday wasn't bad enough...

This is just insane now, well, it was insane before but now it's something else...

No one wants peace any more?

OK. Not 'over' over, but it doesn't look like it's going to succeed.

I'm not sure we really know that for sure either way... sure there are various statements by people in power etc.. however that hasn't seemed to have changed the situation on the ground yet

the more interesting bit of information are the jet shooting the helicopter for example, whether that was another part of the military opposing the coup or something else... the PM has made statements re: all planes currently flying over Ankara will be shot down which implies that they're all pro-coup
