Looking forward to seeing how these cards perform. It will certainly be interesting seeing how they compare to the RX 480 in terms of performance and power.

* abit more performance
* abit higher price
* a good wack lower power consumption in wattage and percentage terms. Going by the GTX480 consumes GTX 1070 levels of power

Interested to see the numbers tomorrow. All I want is a solid 1080p card that can run everything at 60fps without too much drama (for my tv). 1070 is too expensive for that in my mind.

So, my previous GTX 970 was really good investment.
I've gave it as present for my girlfriend for 1080p and expect it to last for a few years at least. Because new cards in 2016 perform the same :)

but but, more RAM and they'll do better in time. In 3 years from now they'll be like a brand new 1060! sorry .. couldn't help it :D

:) This is true for me too. I had a similar experience with my reference RX480 so hoping this will be my upgrade from my 960.

I hate the waiting game for cards, been wanting to upgrade for ages!

I'm stuck with my integrated graphics which are too crap to run my monitor at 1440p (motherboard restriction)! Sold my 280X a week or two before the 480 launched.

At the moment it's anyone's guess what I'm going to get. 480/1060/1070 are all in the running.

A 970 performing card... similar to the RX 480. It's going to be ***** if it releases with £250+ prices.

480 was a one off. Got my money back and placed that in my comp funds account and will be looking at Vega and the 1080Ti. Hopefully performance on those is close for some good comparison vids.

I see Gregster is making the smart decision to wait for what will hopefully be the first *true* 4k cards. No reducing settings and not just one or 2 games. I'm saving up for the same. Alas... we'll be waiting a while. But hey, I've still got a 1080p60 monitor, so it's not like I'd see too much difference from a card like a 1070.

Pathetic aint it, and they cost the same or more, that's progress for you.

I'm glad more people are starting to realise how terrible this generation has been so far. I'm considering just skipping it till Navi/Volta if the bigger cards are no better in that regard.

True. (More or less) 970 performance for (more or less) 970 launch pricing. Possibly a bit more than the 970 when it was first released. If people keep buying though, then what are they to do?
