The Polaris RX 480 Owners Thread.

I did not know that was even possible! I'm reading about EDID files now... Is there some tool with a GUI that would allow me to do that?

I'm probably in the wrong thread but I do it through the Nvidia control panel! I'm sure AMD have something similar or there's an option in Windows.

Right im bored of waiting for the next tier of AMD cards, i want to replace my 290 Tri-X, so im looking at getting a pair of 480's, the only stipulation is they must be NON Reference models, i wont be watercooling, so i want recommendations for a pair of 480's to lob in Xfire for a few months til the new AMD cards come.

I have a Phantek Enthoo Primo case and a 1000w Plat PSU, so theres no concerns over power or space for the cards, im thinking perhaps the Powercolor Devil models? although ive seen a lot of people recommend the XFX models?

Anyone running non ref 480 Xfire? if so whats your thoughts?

Got a Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87 mobo, i think theres space, i will have a gander tonight, so far the Powercolor Devil seems to be edging it.

3x RX 480 Nitro+ OC 8Gb. Kids and wife's gaming will be getting a nice performance upgrade. Had a quick 5 mins pottering about on Ark after upgrading my wife's PC first and can already tell the card is a lot quieter than either my reference 290x or the Windforce 280 she has came from, and seemed to run Ark at least as smoothly as my 290x did at 1200p.

Just upgraded my 670 to the 480 Nitro+ - gone from a 1080p Medium preset slideshow in DOOM to 1080p maxed Ultra at locked 60fps
