In the not too distant future I'm looking to upgrade my ROG Swift to an Ultra wide.

However, I just cant find anything that quite fits the bill..

  • Has to be Ultra Wide 21:9
  • Has to have G-Sync 144hz+
  • Has to be 34" or more
  • Has to be 3440x1440 or more resolution

Is there a monitor that exists that would fit all these criteria ?

Thanks

They'll come soon. Iirc there is a VA monitor from AOC coming out in November with those very specs, and others IPS with an AUO panel coming out at about the same time, so end of 2016, beginning of 2017. Then, next year the new LG panels, all IPS will take over, but that could take longer.

I thought I might be out of luck. Not sure whether to drop the cash on an X34 and be done with it, however I suspect ill miss the higher refresh rates after the Swift..

Thanks guys

I'm in a similar situation, currently on a 16:9 120hz 1080p which has lasted me well but I want to go IPS 21:9 1440p Ultrawide (34"+) BUT I don't really want anything below 100hz, pref above 100hz if possible. I guess I should wait a bit longer, so tempted just to go for a X34 tho :/ (I know I could get 21:9 1080p with higher than 100hz such as the Z35 but would really like the higher res)

LGs native 144Hz panel is scheduled for 1H 2017, so hopefully that can inform you whether to wait or not!
