No particular order! I know I listen and play a very different type of guitar to you lot but well good guitar is good guitar whether it be shred or blues.

3 of the best ever guitarists full stop

innovative

You'll never find anything more complete harmonically and just damn so clever

from 1:46

Saw these guys in Paris a few years back - mind blown

No top 10 is complete without lots of Django!

Can't miss out Woodstock

I love this version so much - probably my favourite song ever.

Torn between Satch and Vai and whilst I prefer Satch For the Love of God is for me perfect for what it is

I think this is one of the two greatest guitar solos ever

And this is the other!

I would have loaded it up with Sergovia but he didn't really solo. :D

Good good call on that Carpenters solo - I mean I love their stuff and they were great for what they were but where the hell did that guitar solo come from it really doesn't fit in with the rest of their stuff but it's immense.

I love Joe Bonamassa should probably have put him in my top 10 but then that top 10 will change on a daily basis bar the odd few in there depending what mood I am in.

And we've not had Hendrix, BB King, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, George Benson, Chuck Berry, Les Paul, Clapton, Page etc yet! Too many to keep it to 10.

Boring choice but the live version of Comfortably Numb from Pulse. Plenty of other good ones but that's always been my favourite.

I prefer the one from Delicate Sound of thunder. I had it on VHS millions of years ago (the recorded concert) and it literally blew me away. I went and got the cd of the concert and it is and has always been my favourite song/track/solo in any genre that listen to.

What do you prefer on the Pulse over the DSOT version?

Steve Rothery's guitar @ about 1:40.

Makes me think of memories, no matter how strange or unconnected, but still magical and special. I guess it's the same thing as children loving colours, sounds and shapes.

November Rain and Sweet Child O' Mine are classic solo's but I like some of Slash's other solos, "Serial Killer", and "Mean Bone".

Metallica - One
Dragon Force - Heroes of our Time

Bon Jovi - Dry County, often overlooked, but great solo.

and Oddly one of my favourites - Blur - Coffee and TV
