Ive moved from BT to talktalk today. However its still not been switched over. BT router still connected and the talktalk router gives me a red light. I thought the switch would have been early this morning? Can it take longer? Anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks.

Switch time is between 8:00am and Midnight as far as I know.
Who gave you the impression the switch would happen early?

Unfortunately the ECI modem I have isn't as easy to unlock as the huawei HG612 so I can't get at the stats. The cisco router will only show the caller stats for dialer interface.

My spare hard wired phone doesn't work either. Having logged into the bt site and done a line test, a fault was actually found so fingers crossed things will be sorted out soon.
To follow on, BT fixed the fault by about 9:30am the day after we reported it. Dial tone is back and the speed is presently up to 58/19mbps. Hopefully it'll rise back to where it was over the next couple of days.

Define decent? What features are you looking for? The standard ISP supplied router will be more than sufficient for most people.

I'm with Plusnet and have been with them long before they supplied the Home Hub clone.

Currently running a Huawei HG612 and Asus N66U.

I'm looking for a combined router modem so I can see the line stats as I want to keep an eye on it.

Something like the Netgear D7000?

So now my download speeds have dropped down to 66Mbps and still my IP Profile is 74...

Something isn't right as its like an artificial cap or something.

No noise on the line and about 150m from the cab. Any ideas people? Please!? :o

All the speedtest sites come back with the same results....

I tell you its like something is capping my download speed. Any device, Ethernet or WiFi all come back with the same results...

Downloading anything off a site, NV drivers for example and its the same.

Would resetting the modem (if thats possible) and router cause more issues if it didn't fix it?

Wouldn't interleaving up the ping though? They haven't changed.

Code:
Pinging www.google.co.uk [172.217.23.3] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 172.217.23.3: bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=56
Reply from 172.217.23.3: bytes=32 time=9ms TTL=56
Reply from 172.217.23.3: bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=56
Reply from 172.217.23.3: bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=56

Ping statistics for 172.217.23.3:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 8ms, Maximum = 9ms, Average = 8ms

Heres my result history, you can see how it used to be and then when I noticed the difference (Aug and Sept)
