MSI GT70 2PE-1811 UK Laptop Problem

Called OC Support - told that it only had 2 years warranty and to call MSI support (OC gave me a number and email)

Called the number given to me and recording said that office was closed due to a national holiday.

Really not sure what national holiday is on Friday 11-Nov-2016. (Armistice day is not a national holiday in the UK)

Anyways, I was hoping that the knowledgeable people here may be able to shed some light on the issue.

Model is:
MSI GT70 2PE-1811 UK Dominator Pro 17.3" True HD LED, GTX 880M
4810MQ, 16GB RAM, Super raid, 1TB Hard Drive, BD Writer.

Problem:
Power On
Power button lights up white.
MSI Logo appears on screen.
less than 10 seconds elapse - nothing else on screen
Power button turn orange.
laptop powers off.

It looks like it is failing POST, but no error messages are displayed.

Has anyone had a similar problem and if so what did you do to get it diagnosed and fixed?

Has anyone any suggestions?

I did write to MSI UK Support ( uksupport at msi dot com)
and they were very helpful.

This tell you about using the F3 key and also about how to
update to the latest IRST driver (Intel Rapid Storage Technology)


MSI support also suggested updating to the latest BIOS.


Problem Solved.
