Hi,

Struggling to overclock this past the stock frequency, but can manage tighter timings

Anything i try above 3733 fails, even after increasing VCCSA and DRAM voltage slightly. Even with pretty relaxed timings (23,23,42,1)

I can do 3733 @ 17,17,17,30,535,1 but don't think i can go further on that, unless you have any ideas?

I read your report on the 3866 Team Xtreem RAM and couldn't replicate your results, but maybe this RAM doesn't clock as much as i had hoped

Your help would be much appreciated

thanks

I think the 8gb sticks don't overclock as well as the 4gb sticks. Tighter Timings are better in most cases anyway. Also your trfc at 535 is really really bad. That's probably slowing the memory down a lot try take it down 20 at a time. Around 400 will perform much better. Mine 3866 2*4gb kit does 380 no problem, yours maybe a little higher.

One last timing is idk how much memory voltage you gave it but 1.45-1.5v is ok to run 24/7. If you are just wondering how far you can push it then 1.65-1.75v should be no problem as long as you keep a fan on them. I run mine with no heatspreader at 1.75v for loads of benchmarks and it was as fine :p

The 3733mhz kit I did not try much outside systems where only basic tuning takes place and we of course air on the side of stability.

The Gene is a good board for clocking RAM though leave SA IO at auto try post at 3866 for example with all AUTO settings and then tune down.

The 3866mhz is an easy 4K plus kit.
