How many are into indoor rowing? I've been on and off for a few years. Hurt my arm in early 2016 and stopped. Built it up lately and did the concept 2 holiday challenge.

Hoping to keep it up, maybe this thread can be a motivator. Post PB's etc... Challenge each other...

If you have a concept 2 log book, you can add people as training partners as well.

Been erging for a long time, 15 years or so. Also was big in on water rowing but just don't have the time for it anymore.

I used to be really really good. Picked up several indoor rowing medals over the years.

Best 2k ever was 6:02.3 but would find it hard to go sub 6:30 now. Recently did a spate of 1/2 marathons over xmas and got a pb of 1hr 17mins 8s (1:49.6 split). I just get so competitive with myself I can't help it!

I thought you were doing a 5k every day how is that going?

I did 200km over December for the holiday challenge. It was 7,500 or 10,000m a day. With two days off, as I missed a few days at the start. Was getting better throughout the month. But having the 10 odd days over Christmas off was a bad idea. Seems hard now again lol.

That 2000m time is amazing, I'd love to get under 7 minutes. It's a target to aim for. Going to do.a 2000m on Sunday and see where I am. Hoping to hold 1:55 at least.

I'll be doing a half marathon at some point.

There was a rowing thread around here some time ago. I'm 1.71m and short legs - rowing is not for me! Just scraped under 1:45 for a 500m I seem to remember.

I've managed 1:37.3 for 500m.

A friend has done 1:30.8 which i'm aiming for. Huge difference though those 7 seconds

I'm not sure I agree, depending on your stroke rate, one pull cover 5 to 10 metres so it's all about timing. I haven't used a concept 2 for about 3 years but 1.29.3 was my 500m PB with 2.5k n 7.24 iirc. I'd be way off that now...What damper settings are people using? I use to float around 6 to 7
