Hey guys just got 2 new sticks of ddr3 8gb corsair vengeance.

Tried setting the clocks to recommended 11-13-13-31 with 1.652v with linked settings

They are sat in slots 2 &4 on my motherboard because I can't access slot 1 because on my CPU heat sink.
Would they be better in slots 3&4?

Also my motherboard settings would only let me set them as 2133mhz max instead of the 2400 they are rated at. Mother board is a main gd-65.

When I boot with these setting I get a black screen.

What have I done wrong?

reset BIOS to stock settings
update BIOS to latest firmware

let BIOS decide the best settings

timings make little difference and your mobo might not support the speed of the RAM or 2400mhz?
