My seating/monitor location results in ~70cm distance between eye and screen, I'm short sighted and wear glasses so can't say I have 20/20 natural vision

27" @ 1440P to me is same as 24" @ 1080P, the DPI difference is not big enough IMO, so all it looks like is 1080P but on bigger screen if you get what I mean. 25" @ 1440P is stunning for image quality
, but I would say for lengthy periods of use I found reading text at 100% GUI scaling a bit uncomfortable
. All the screens I used with 100% GUI scaling as main use is gaming and secondary is light web/office apps use.
I believe from you usage purpose OP you'd want dual screen. I would also think you will benefit from having 1440P screen. So would suggest waiting/saving a bit more so you could go at least 1x 1440P & 1x 1080P. Ideally I'd think biggest plus will be 2x 1440P. When I went 1680x1050 to 1920x1080 I really didn't feel I gained much on OS desktop, going 1920x1080 to 2560x1440 it was a lot more useable OS desktop space
