I've said this before but would be brilliant if someone released some open source case plans which you simply find an acrylic cutter (of which there are many) to get the panels made. I'm too clueless at 3D design to do it though...

Custom vendors are a nice thing but not if there take forever, my experience of Hex Gear was also terrible I have to say. 2 months to even get a refund, and only then because I escalated it in PayPal (they still waited until the very last day to respond). Fingers crossed though, they might see all this and bump yours up the queue ;)

Perfect solution would be to have an in-browser editor to allow you to mock up simple edits or colour patterns instead of having to wait for it all to be marked up and rendered.

I can see mine isn't as complex as a lot of custom builds nor falls into a simple change. Guessing raising the Mobo location has to be marked out on two panels as as well as window on the rear but PSU being moved up to the top as well as 2x 120mm fans at the bottom would be pretty simple.

Mobo tray may also be split into two parts, having it all clear would have to make sure every cable is perfect and i'll be having a 2nd born around the time so screw that haha, would be half clear half frosted

right, 11 days from last communication with them about idea for middle section with "due course for render" and 6 days from my last email asking about ETA for renders or line-sketch.

Still holidays down north of Scotland so will drop a message tomorrow.

Still holding fire with any judgments as its only been 14 days since payment and was given 30 day lead way time for standard cases/ small modification "as a rule" . Come 30 days without a render or solid deadline will have to pull the pull, Case potentially waiting in Taiwan which looks ugly but does the job...ish lol

hoping my experience will helps others in future :)

I used a modified Parvum case for the first time for the current build and must say I'm extremely happy with it. There were a few hiccups along the way mainly due to lack of communication regarding the time the renders and cut would actually take (as said a few times previously, it would be better if the guys were 100% honest when you order that it could take a few months...) but the finished case was more than worth the wait.

Apart from the delays I found them great to deal with and wouldn't hesitate to use them again (if they can put up with me!). I know with sponsors to keep happy it's a bit more awkward for you having pressure to hit deadlines, but as a normal customer I will just order the next case a bit further in advance if adding any custom work. :)

I've got an acrylic side window for my corsair case it was custom made ordered via somewhere I'm probably not allowed to mention but one of those sites that specialise in custom modification for PCs. Anyway it took absolutely ages at least 3 months. Even they admitted it was taking forever they were getting them shipped from some cutter in the US and I think they waited until they had a minimum number of orders before sending them an order.

Anyway I guess I'm saying that unlike big manufacturers with a production line and products already boxed and on shelves these small vendors basically make them to order and well, dont' expect anything in a hurry.

Must admit, after finding it easier to communicate via a forum, been smooth sailing
I would reserve judgement until you have a case in your possession.

A friend of mine paid them for a custom case when I worked at OcUK.

I left over a year ago.

he still doesn't have his case.

Just relaying my experiences as it goes along. Seems it's all been mapped out with second render. Now to making and receiving . No ETA yet but will comment here on all communication

Are you on about mine? Waiting until can be arsed going round joe's tbh. Even when I do I'll probably just spend the day making his doggo go mental at socks

Sorry to seriously bump this thread just wondering if anyone has dealt with parvum recently?

I ordered a s2.5 front panel and power/usb button from them on the 13th and havnt heard a thing since, not even a reply to any of my emails... (previously they replied within a few hours).

I expected a little bit of a wait but its not a custom piece or anything like that. Just a like for like replacement. The lack of communication concerns me.
