1 Mouse & Keyboard Swapping between 2 PCs

As above, I have 2 Pcs but I only use one at a time and only want 1 keyboard and mouse really. Im guessing a USB splitter will be OK for this but 1 female to 2 x male doesn't seem that common. Can anyone suggest the best option to use please?

I used a kvm switch to do this.

If you dont wan't to go hardware, look at Synergy - https://symless.com/synergy . I use that with Windows system as host and a linux box as client so I can use the same keyboard andd mouse on both.

Best of the cheaper devices for doing this (if you don't need to switch video) is the Aten US224 in my experience.
