You need to think what you need the camera for ?

The A6000 has changeable lens and you will need good glass to get the best out of it,the rx100 is a awesome camera as it is,if it was me i would go for the rx100.

Here and There...
The a6000 is a great camera but a bottom less money pit (as are all interchangeable lens cameras)

If I were you I'd buy the best Sony rx100 you can afford there have been 4 versions. It is also worth considering the canon g7x I or II as they use the same sensor and dome prefer canons interface and picture output and the len on the II has a better focal range.

Please tell me what I'm missing but I've got an RX100 mk2 and a Sony A6000 and I know which I'd prefer as a point and shoot. The RX100 is pretty cool for a compact but even if you're just using the kit lens on the A6000 it blows the RX100 out of the water as far as I can see. I see quite a few RX100 recommendations on here over the A5000/A51000/A6000 and I really don't get it.

I'm not saying the RX100 is bad in any way....it isn't, the A range however I find fantastic and have yet to come close to creating the same results on the RX100.
