Ryzen 5 cooler that doesn't break the bank?

Looking for some recommendations please as I've just read the 1600X doesn't ship with a stock cooler, which is a pain. I'll overclock a little bit but it doesn't need to be mega, RGB is a bonus! Been browsing the site but there doesn't seem to be a great deal that's compatible?

Yeah even 8 Pack says there's not much point in going for a 1600X over a 1600.

The money I'm saving on the cooler, I could even upgrade and get the Ryzen 7 1700 which would be even more future proof and overclockable as time goes on(?)

You're right, there doesn't seem to be much point in that 1600X when you factor in the extra cost.

Nobody knows. But Ryzen on my Crosshair VI has got to a point it doesn't really need to go beyond for me. I'm re-addicted to GTA because of how well it runs now and how I can push the settings further up.
Ryzen 1700 @3.75 GHz.

What version do you have? I can't wait to get back into PC Gaming so I am itching to pull the trigger and purchase.

GTAV. There's only one Crosshair VI and Ryzen 1700.
I also have a Strix 1080ti and all my games on a BPX NVMe drive.

The 8 cores didn't improve streaming as much as I'd hoped, but I do quite a lot of photo work and the cores really help with that.
Going from a 4790k GTAV was immediately smoother.

Well I'm currently on an old i7 920 so i'll be noticing a difference!

From what I have read, RAM around 3200Mhz suits Ryzen and has a noticable effect on performance vs trying to get 4Ghz on the CPU.

We must have read the same thing! Settled for 3200Mhz Corsair Dominator, stated as compatible on the ASRock website. Thank you.
