I am so confused on my first system

Av demon x540bt

Speakers JBL 510

What do I set the crossover at?

Default it's 80Hz been told to set them up at 120hz

It's specs are frequency response is 150hz - 20hz (-6dB)

Anyone?

Can I hijack please :)

Sub - Wharfedale SW150 - Frequency Response 35Hz - 100Hz - Crossover Frequency knob on rear is 35Hz - 85Hz
Centre - Q2000Ci - Frequency Response 75Hz - 22kHz
Fronts - Q2020i - Frequency Response (+/- 3 dB): 64Hz - 22kHz
Rears - Q2010i - Frequency Response (+/- 3 dB): 68Hz - 22kHz

My Amp STR-DN1050 also has a Crossover Frequency Setting option.

Does this mean I should set the crossover on the sub to 85Hz, then on the amp set the centre to 80Hz and the fronts and rears to 70Hz?

Set crossover to max on the sub (I think this only affects hi level in puts, ie speaker passthrough) and volume to halfway
As previous posts start off with about 180 as crossover on the avr.
Doesn't the dn1050 have a setup mic etc?

"Set crossover to max on the sub (I think this only affects hi level in puts, ie speaker passthrough)"

Typically the subs owns crossover effects high and low level inputs.

Speaker pass through is a high pass, this is typically fixed. Some higher end subs allow a adjustable high pass but the only one I can think of is the SVS SB/PC Ultra 13 which is close to £1800. Typically other high passes are fixed at 80-120hz.

You only use high pass when you connect your speakers to the sub (high level) then sub to the amplifier. Or you connect your power amp for the speakers to the sub, so your power amp only received >80hz. Again this is only available on higher end subs. Or you could use a Outlaw ICBM-1
